Aly was first introduced to Acupuncture as a patient, after a trauma she experienced in her childhood. Because of this trauma, she now lives with chronic pain. Acupuncture has helped her to better manage and alleviate this pain over the years, without the need for narcotic pain medications and nerve blocking injections. In addition to the chronic pain, Aly experienced surgical complications and other complications related to scar tissue, digestive disorders, and excessive stress and anxiety. During her experience, Aly learned that Acupuncture is a complementary medicine that is also highly effective for non-pain related ailments. Acupuncture has provided Aly with countless benefits over the years and has empowered her to take back control of her health. Aly strongly believes that Acupuncture is an integral component of any person’s overall healthcare needs.
Graduating with high honours from the SSC Acupuncture Institute in Toronto, Aly is now a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).
Learning the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture is a lifelong commitment. Aly strongly believes in the importance of continuing education so that she can continually learn and grow as an Acupuncturist. Since becoming registered, Aly has gone on to receive certificates in Advanced Needling Techniques, Facial Rejuvenation/Cosmetic Acupuncture, and Basic Shiatsu Training. Aly has a special interest in treating women's health issues such as infertility, pregnancy, menopause, and symptoms related to PMS.
